STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
1 Dr. S. Suresh, Associate Professor in the Department of Science, received a
certificate in recognition of his valuable contributions as a peer reviewer. He
evaluated the manuscript submitted to the journal Current Organic Chemistry.
His insightful feedback played a significant role in upholding the journal’s
rigorous peer-review standards, and the certificate acknowledges his
commendable efforts.
2 Dr. Prakash S M, Assistant Professor in the Department of Science, took part in
a Five-Day International Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on
"Nanotechnology in Environmental Sustainability for Tomorrow (NEST’25)".
The event was organized by the Department of Chemistry at Velammal College
of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Madurai, and was conducted
from April 1 to April 5, 2025.
3 Dr. A. Mahalakshmi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Science, took
part in the seminar titled "AI Meets Quantum: The Future of Communication
and Computing Technologies", conducted on April 14, 2025, as part of the
World Quantum Day celebrations. The event was led by Dr. Manish K. Gupta
and organized by the Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT), D Y Patil
University, Navi Mumbai, in association with the RAIT ACM SIGAI Chapter
4 Dr. S. Kiruba, Dr. V. Swarnalatha, Dr. N. R. Rajagopalan, Dr. S. Rama, Dr. A.
Dhivya, Dr. J. Sharmila and Dr. S. M. Prakash from the Department of Science
were awarded Life Membership in the International Association of Engineers
(IAENG) in April 2025. This esteemed recognition underscores their
commitment to fostering collaboration among engineers and advancing the
practical application of engineering knowledge from academia to industry.
5 Dr. N. R. Rajagopalan, Associate Professor in the Department of Science,
successfully completed a transcription editing task using the Machine
Learning Tool – Chitralekha for the NPTEL course "Ultrafast Laser
Spectroscopy" (Course ID: 104101122) offered by IIT Madras. He contributed a
total of 1.75 hours of edited content to the course.
