BIOTECH RESEARCH SOCIETY OF INDIA (BRSI)

The Department of Biotechnology faculty members Dr. G. Baskar and Dr. B.

Sangeetha received a fund amount of ₹22 500 from the Biotech Research

Society of India (BRSI).The funding was utilized to organize a Biotechnology
Popularization and Skill Development Program for school students. A total of

50 students from 10 schools participated in the program, gaining exposure to
biotechnology concepts, laboratory skills, and career opportunities.The

program was successfully conducted on 24th July 20 25 . This initiative

reflected the department’s commitment to promoting science education among
young learners and fostering an early interest in biotechnology and its

applications.
