The Department of Chemical Engineering, St.
Joseph’s College of Engineering, proudly
announces that Mr. Santhosh K.J., a final-year

student, has been selected for the prestigious
NPTEL Winter Internship 2025. He has
secured an 8-week in-person internship at IIT
Roorkee under the guidance of Prof. Prathan

Arora, scheduled from 20 January to 16
March 2026, with a stipend of ₹30,000.

The Department of Electronics and

Communication Engineering proudly
congratulates Team SECURENOW for
securing the Third Prize at the Cyber
Security Hackathon 2025, organized with

the support of StartupTN and Tamil Nadu
Police. The team—Dharshini R, Melvina
Infantia E, and Aswin Roch J (II ECE)—
impressed the jury with their innovative

solution addressing WhatsApp and
Telegram call scams, effectively detecting
fraudulent activities using caller identity
signals, behavioral risk patterns, and a

trust gap score. The event, held on 27th
December 2025 at K.S. Rangasamy College
of Technology, Tiruchengode, awarded the
team a cash prize of ₹5,000.
