1 Dr. V. Renuka, Professor, Department of Chemical
Engineering, participated in a one-week National

Faculty Development Programme on Advancements in

Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering (ABC 2025),

held from December 8–13, 2025, at Vel Tech High Tech
Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College,

Chennai, focusing on sustainability and emerging

technologies.

2 Dr. S. Vinod Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of
Chemical Engineering, attended the 4th Edition of the

Industry–Institutions Partnership Summit (IIPS) held on
23 January 2026 in Chennai. The summit, themed “From

Lab to Market: Accelerating Chemical Innovation

through Collaboration,” brought together industry

leaders, academicians, and policymakers to strengthen

industry–academia collaboration in the chemical
sector.

3 Dr. G. Sasikumar, Assistant Professor, Department of
Science, has published an Indian patent entitled

“Nanogold colloid for responding heavy metal ion and

preparation method thereof.” The patent was

published on 23 January 2026 in the Indian Patent
Office Journal with Application No. 202641001913 A.
