ALUMNI SEMINAR
On 7th July 2024, the Department of Mechanical
Engineering hosted distinguished alumni talk on
the topic "Blockchain Industry 4.0" and the guest
speaker was Mr. Vidyashankar Ramalingam. He
graduated from our college in the year 2010 and
gave us insightful importance on how blockchain
can be used to increase the security and
transparency around the sharing of customer
data, either between a customer and a company
or between two companies. And also blockchain
can also be used to reduce fraud and other
trust-related issues in digital ad buying. He
accentuated that Blockchain can also be called
as a distributed ledger technology. It is expected
to bring a revolution in the field of economics by
disrupting it on a global scale, due to its
properties of being transparent, secure and
scalable. Overall, the session provided a clear
roadmap for enhancing career readiness and
emphasized the importance of blockchain in
achieving professional success.
