Faculty Development Programme
Chemical Department Faculty Members Dr. Renuka Viswanathan and S. Vinod Kumar of
1 St. Joseph's College of Engineering actively participated in the One Week Short Term
Course on "Algal Biotechnology and Biorefinery" held from 23rd to 27th December 2024.
This program was organized by the Chennai Research Foundation under the guidance of
the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
Dr. P. Saravanan, an Associate Professor in the Department of Science, participated in
2 the International Congress on High-Value Added Agricultural Products, which was
organized by Iğdır University and took place in Iğdır, Türkiye, from December 1 to 3, 2024.
At this event, Dr. Saravanan delivered an oral presentation entitled "Valorization of Non-
Edible Fruit Seeds into Valuable Products: A Sustainable Approach Towards Circular
Bioeconomy."
Dr. Saravanan P., Associate Professor in the Department of Science, successfully
3 completed a Faculty Development Program on "Green Material and Methodology for
Sustainable Development," held at Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering from
December 9 to 14, 2024.
Dr. V. Swarnalatha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Science, participated and
4 contributed as a Conference Chair at the "Second International Conference on
Environment, Economy, Management, Science, and Technology (ICEEMST-II) 2024." The
event was jointly organized by the Department of Environmental Science, SIES (Nerul)
College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous), Navi Mumbai, India, and Global
Conference Hub, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, on December 23rd and 24th, 2024.
5 Dr. N. Punitha, a Professor in the Department of Science, successfully completed an AI
Tools and ChatGPT workshop on December 29, 2024, conducted by the Be10X ed-tech
platform.
6 Dr. P. Krishnan, Associate Professor in the Department of Science, has successfully
completed the Faculty Development Program organized by the AICTE Training and
Learning (ATAL) Academy. This program, which concentrated on "Crystal Growth,
Semiconductor Processing, and Manufacturing Technologies," took place at the Indian
Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) in Dhanbad from December 16 to
December 21, 2024.
