St. Joseph’s College of Engineering
On July 13th, 2024, the Engineering Excellence event
at Sethu Baskara Matriculation School in Chennai
welcomed 584 enthusiastic students. Among them,
245 were boys and 239 were girls. The event aimed to
inspire and engage the young minds in engineering
and technology.
The event was graced by two eminent chief guests.
Dr. R. Govindaraj, a distinguished scientist with
significant contributions to the development of
indigenous technologies for the automation of Indian
process industries during his long tenure at CSIR-
CEERI.
The second chief guest, Shanmuganathan Sivaraj,
brings over 20 years of software industry experience.
Before joining Cognizant-TriZetto, he worked in
various software development roles across software
product start-ups and Fortune 500 companies in the
US. As a project lead, he has overseen various phases
of the software development lifecycle. He is also a
proud alumnus of the 1999 batch.
