On May 25, 2024, the

Department of Information

Technology conducted an

online session titled

"Become a Cartographer -

Creation of Thematic Maps

Using Open Source

Software." The aim was to

educate participants on

creating thematic maps

using open-source tools,

with insights shared by

Mapathon 2023 winning

students. The session

successfully enhanced

attendees' mapping skills

and knowledge, inspiring

them to explore cartography

further.
