IEEE Activities
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and
IEEE Vehicular Technology Society SJCE SB (SBC60101N),
successfully organized a webinar on "Smart Wearables for
Safer and Efficient Traffic Management" on March 24, 2025,
from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM. The event was attended by over
30 students from St. Joseph’s College of Engineering. The
guest speaker, Ms. Poornima Pandian, Assistant Professor at
Sri Sairam Engineering College, delivered an insightful
session on the role of smart wearables in improving the
safety and efficiency of traffic personnel.
Department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering and The Special Interest Group on
Humanitarian Technology, St. Joseph’s College of
Engineering, Student Branch Chapter, successfully
organized an insightful session titled "
DEVELOPMENT IN TRENDS AND FUTURE
DIRECTIONS " on March 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to
7:00 PM. The session, attended by 34 enthusiastic
participants, provided valuable insights into the
field of technology and emerging future pathways.

and The IEEE St. Joseph's College of Engineering
Industrial Applications Society (IAS SBC60101A), in
collaboration with the IEEE IAS Madras Section,
successfully organized a tech talk titled "Charging
Futures" on March 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The session featured Dr. Sourav Das, Assistant Professor
at IEM and Faculty Advisor of IEEE IAS IEM SB Kolkata,
as the distinguished speaker. Dr. Das provided valuable
insights into the evolution of EV integration, smart
solutions for power system challenges, and strategic
planning for sustainability.
