Safety Evaluation Studies

The Department of Biotechnology,

organized a guest lecture on 22n d July

2025 at the AV Hall, Library. The session
was delivered by Dr. U. Mani, PTO and

Associate Professor, CSIR–CLRI. The

topic of the lecture was “Safety
Evaluation Studies of Drugs/Industrial

Chemicals in Animal Models.”The lecture
provided detailed insights into safety

assessment methodologies, regulatory

guidelines, and ethical considerations in
animal model studies.This session

enhanced the understanding of students
regarding preclinical safety evaluation

and its significance in drug and chemical

testing.
