AI and Machine Learning
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was proud to host an
inspiring alumni talk featuring Ms. Sowmiya V, a distinguished
graduate from the 2021–2025 batch, currently serving as a Graduate
Engineer Trainee (GET) at Renault Nissan Technology and Business
Center India on 25th July 2025. Held at Laurel Hall, the session titled
“Designing the Future: AI and Machine Learning in Mechanical
Systems” drew enthusiastic participation from students and faculty
alike. Ms. Sowmiya shared her insights on the transformative role of
artificial intelligence and machine learning in modern mechanical
engineering applications, ranging from predictive maintenance and
intelligent design optimization to autonomous systems and smart
manufacturing.
