and IEEE ST. JOSEPH’S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
STUDENT BRANCH CHAPTER (SBC60101), in
association with the IEEE WOMEN IN ENGINEERING
(WIE) AFFINITY GROUP (SB A60101), successfully
conducted an engaging session titled CyberClarity –
Know More, Risk Less on June 28 , 20 25 , as part of
the IEEE WIE Day 2025 celebrations. The session was
based on the topic “Cybersecurity – How and What to
Consider from a Business and User Perspective,”
delivered by Ms. Nita Patel, Vice President,
Engineering at OTIS Elevator Co. Students Gained
awareness on incident response and cybersecurity
preparedness. They learned practical strategies to
improve digital safety for individuals and
organizations.Also understood cybersecurity as a
strategic component of business resilience and
personal safety.
The IEEE Student Branch Chapter of St. Joseph’s College of
Engineering, in association with the Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering, organized a webinar
titled “Space Exploration 5.0 – Beyond Everything” on July
18, 2025. The session featured Mr. Uchit Modi, Associate
Software Engineer at Catalyx Space, who delivered an
insightful talk on “Global Ground Station Networks for
CubeSats Communication.” The event was conducted via
Google Meet and saw enthusiastic participation from over
40+ students from the college. The session not only
expanded the technical knowledge of the participants but
also served as an inspiration for those aspiring to pursue
careers in the fields of space science, robotics, and satellite
communications. It successfully brought together curiosity
and innovation under one platform, aligning with IEEE’s
mission to empower future engineers through global
knowledge exchange.
