19 Dr. S. Suresh, Associate Professor, Department of Science, received
recognition from Bentham Science Publishers for his peer-review

contributions to the journal Current Organic Chemistry in December

2025, in appreciation of his valuable role in the scholarly review
process, having successfully reviewed three manuscripts for the

journal.

20 Dr. P. Saravanan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of
Science, successfully participated in and completed the six-day

Faculty Development Programme on “Emerging Materials and

Advanced Technologies for Sustainability (EMATS’25)”, organized by
the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr.

Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College, held from 22 to 27

December 2025.

21 Dr. J. Sharmila, Assistant Professor, Department of Science,
participated in a One-Day Workshop on Information Literacy and
Cyber Safety organized by the Department of Youth Welfare and

Sports Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, under the National

Service Scheme (NSS). The programme was conducted in association

with the Fact Check Unit, Government of Tamil Nadu, and the

University of Madras (NSS Cell) on 05 December 2025 at the
University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai.

22 Dr. G. Baskar from the Department of Biotechnology has received a
Certificate of Recognition from the Journal of Environmental Biology

on 24 December 2025 for reviewing the manuscript entitled “Solid

State Fermentation Using Fungal Isolates Enhances Lignocellulose
Breakdown in Cotton Stalks.”
