Department of EEE in association with IEEE Industry Applications Society Madras Chapter
and LARSEN & TOUBRO Ltd., organised SMARTATHON. The event was graced by esteemed
dignitaries. The chief guests, Mr. Murali Raghavendra, Head, Larsen & Toubro Smart World &
Communications, and Mr. Dinesh Kumar Sundaravelu, Vice President, StartupTN, along with
the event’s president, Dr. Vaddi Seshagiri Rao, Principal, St. Joseph's College of Engineering.
Mr. Murali Raghavendra officially started the hackathon timer, marking the beginning of an
intense 24-hour challenge. The first round of evaluation was conducted by a distinguished
panel of industry experts, including:

Mr. Rajan – CTO, Omsevvel Software
This jury panel meticulously evaluated the ideas based on problem statement understanding,
innovation, feasibility, social impact, and technical execution. Constructive feedback was provided,
encouraging teams to refine and enhance their solutions.The second round of evaluation featured an
esteemed jury panel, primarily from L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and other industry experts:

Their evaluation was focused on the technical depth, scalability, and market viability of the
solutions presented. The chief guest, Mr. Srinivasan R, Executive Vice President, L&T Smart
World & Communications, along with the presiding dignitaries, Dr. Babu Manoharan B,
Chairman, St. Joseph's Group of Institutions, and Mr. Shashi Shekar B, Managing Director, St.
Joseph's Group of Institutions, graced the occasion. Winners across all five domains were
announced, with 12 teams receiving prizes totaling ₹72,000. The chief guests were
felicitated, and all participants were awarded participation certificates.
