ST. JOSEPH’S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
REACH FINALS IN IIChE-ChEMATHON 2025
Two teams from St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Department of Chemical
Engineering, reached the final round of IIChE-ChEMATHON 2025, a national-level
hackathon on sustainable solutions. Under the mentorship of Dr. S. Vinod Kumar,
Associate Professor, they showcased innovative chemical engineering solutions at the
event held from February 28 to March 2, 2025, at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai.
The two teams comprised Sam Danie and Lewyn (Team 1) and Kaviya, Vaishali, and
Lagamaya (Team 2), all second-year Chemical Engineering students. Their innovative
projects tackled real-world sustainability challenges and impressed judges with their
technical prowess and problem-solving skills.
The competition, organized by IIChE KEC Student Chapter & Erode Regional Centre,
featured top institutions competing against 100 teams.
