The students from third-year Mechanical
Engineering, JETMECH, comprising Jai Akash Lal
A, Arther Bhion C, Bharanidharan R, Hesanth
Kumar S, Shakthi Maheswaran N, and Yuraklin
Thomas, has triumphantly secured the first
place in the prestigious Design Thinking
Workshop Competition as they successfully
tackled the challenging problem of the
uncontrolled growth of water hyacinth in lakes.
The event, held on the 24th and 25th of March
2025, was meticulously organized by the St.
Joseph’s ISTE Student Council in association
with the Institutions Innovation Council.
The Mech Mavericks team—comprising II-year
Mechanical Engineering students Mugilan VS,
Rogith Kumar R, and Sangar Vishal M"—has
proudly secured the "Runner-Up position" in the
prestigious IEEE event, and won the cash prize
of 5,000 "sponsored by "L&T", in the domain of
"renewable energy". Their groundbreaking
project on "AI-driven oil analysis, metamaterials
vibration control, and self-healing
lubricants"impressed industry experts with its
innovative approach to enhancing the efficiency
and reliability of wind turbines.

PAper presentatoin in Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
