GUEST LECTURE

Dr. P. Senthil Kumar, Associate Professor in Center for Pollution Control

and Environmental Engineering at Pondicherry University, delivered a

thought-provoking guest lecture on "Environmental Sustainability

Towards Achieving Viksit Bharat 2047" on 29th August 2024, at the

Library AV Hall. Dr. Kumar emphasized the urgent need for sustainable

practices to ensure a healthier and greener future for India. He

discussed the challenges and opportunities in achieving environmental
sustainability, particularly in the context of the nation's vision for a

developed India by 2047, or "Viksit Bharat 2047." The lecture highlighted

strategies for reducing pollution, conserving resources, and adopting

cleaner technologies.
