Value Added Cources
The Department of Biotechnology conducted a
Value-Added Course on “Drug Discovery” for IV Year
students from 15.09.2025 to 19.09.2025. The
program aimed to provide insights into the stages
of drug discovery, including target identification,
screening, lead optimization and regulatory
aspects. Expert lectures and interactive sessions
helped students understand modern drug
development techniques and recent advances in
pharmaceutical research. The course successfully
enhanced students’ knowledge, skills and career
awareness in the field of drug discovery.

Dr. G. Baskar from the Department of
Biotechnology, organized a DST-FIST
supported one-day hands-on training on
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer on
26th September 2025. The program
provided practical training and skill
development in advanced analytical
techniques to students from various
colleges. The workshop aimed to enhance
understanding of instrumental analysis,
promote hands-on learning, and
encourage scientific curiosity among
participants. The event saw active
participation and engagement from the
students, fostering a collaborative and
interactive learning environment.
