                                                    Samson  Enoch,  Siddharth  Srinivasan,  and

                                                    Suryaprasanth           Thiyagarajan,         second-year

                                                    Information  Technology  students,  secured  the
                                                    Second  Runner-Up  (Third  Place)  position  at

                                                    HackIndia  2025,  held  at  Leela  Ambience,  Delhi,

                                                    on 26th September 2025.








       The students Advika J, Christina R Leo, Deekshi

       K,  and  Jerusha  Shirlyn  Abraham  from  the
       Department  of  Biotechnology  participated  in

       the  Innova  Dish  event  conducted  by  SRM
       Institute  of  Science  and  Technology  on
       23.09.2025.  They  presented  an  innovative  food

       product  titled  “Development  of  Functional
       Chocolate  Using  Spirulina  and  Traditional  Rice

       Varieties”,  which  focused  on  creating  a
       nutrient-rich  chocolate  with  enhanced  health
       benefits    by    incorporating      spirulina    and

       indigenous     rice    varieties.   Their    creative
       approach,  nutritional  innovation  and  practical

       application  of  biotechnology  impressed  the
       judges,  earning  them  the  1st  Prize  in  the
       competition.

                          Jayashri  B.  S.,  a  final-year  Biotechnology  student,  has  been  selected  as  a
                          Technical Support Engineer at Zoho with a stipend of ₹20,000 per month for six

                          months.  This  opportunity  highlights  her  technical  skills  and  readiness  for
                          professional engagement in the IT and software support sector, reflecting the
                          strong  industry-oriented  training  and  academic  preparation  provided  by  the

                          Department of Biotechnology.
