St. Joseph’s College of Engineering
OPTICA STUDENT
CHAPTER
The OPTICA Student Chapter of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering hosted a successful
outreach event at : DAV Public School, Velachery on February 5, 2025, introducing
engineering concepts to students in grades 6-12. The event focused on hands-on learning
experiences in Industry 4.0, IoT, and AI, using practical demonstrations and interactive
projects to simplify complex ideas and inspire a deeper understanding of engineering and
technology.
IEEE STUDENT CHAPTER
ECE department, in association with IEEE, IEEE ComSoc, held Project Expo-25 at Mont Fort
Academy on February 6, 2025. Sixty-five engineering students presented 20 projects
(Embedded Systems, IoT, Robotics, AI/ML, etc.) to school students, promoting STEM interest
through interactive demonstrations and Q&A. The event successfully fostered technical
awareness and provided valuable presentation experience for the engineering students.
