Department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering and The IEEE St. Joseph’s College
of Engineering Student Branch (SBC60101), in
collaboration with the IEEE SJCE Women in
Engineering (WiE) Affinity Group (SBA60101),
successfully organized a webinar titled
“Webinar About Career Growth” on June 23,
2025, as part of the IEEE WIE Day 2025
celebrations.
The session was led by Ms. Kim Meninger, a distinguished Leadership Coach
& Consultant, Keynote & TEDx Speaker, who delivered an insightful talk on
"Using Self-Promotion Strategies to Advance Your Career." The event drew
enthusiastic participation from students and young professionals who were
eager to learn how to build a strong professional presence and take charge
of their career paths. Ms. Meninger highlighted the importance of owning
one’s accomplishments and communicating them with clarity and
confidence. Through real-life experiences, practical strategies, and
interactive discussions, she empowered attendees to overcome self-doubt,
break through visibility barriers, and embrace leadership mindsets
regardless of job title or experience level.

STUDENT BRANCH CHAPTER (SBC60101), in
association with the IEEE WOMEN IN ENGINEERING
(WIE) AFFINITY GROUP (SBA60101), successfully
conducted an engaging session titled CyberClarity –
Know More, Risk Less on June 28, 2025, as part of
the IEEE WIE Day 2025 celebrations.
This insightful session focused on how cybersecurity extends beyond
technical aspects, emphasizing strategic thinking for both businesses and
individuals. Ms. Nita Patel shared her professional experience, explaining how
proactive measures and clear understanding of cybersecurity principles are
critical to managing digital risks in today’s interconnected world.
