MSME GRANT OF ₹15 LAKHS IN IDEA
HACKATHON 4.0 (YOUTH)
The Department of Chemical Engineering proudly congratulates Ms. Negha
Magendran, a dynamic and innovative student, for her remarkable
achievement in securing funding through the MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0
(Youth), conducted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
(MSME), Government of India. Her project, titled “Production of Highly
Demand Value Added Organic Acids – Ferulic Acid, Coumaric Acid, Hyaluronic
Acid Using Industrial Wastes by Fermentation Technology – A Circular
Economy (DEATNO22888)”. The project received a total grant of ₹15 lakhs,
which will be utilized to further research and develop scalable solutions to
produce value-added organic acids. Ms. Negha was mentored by Dr. N.
Magesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, who
guided her through the ideation, proposal drafting, and technical validation
processes. His mentorship has been instrumental in aligning the project with
practical industrial applications and sustainability goals.
