ALUMNI TALK

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning successfully organized an

Alumni Talk titled “Discover Your Career Path” for Second Year students on 05 February 2026,
from 08:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.. The session was held at the Seminar Hall, 12th Block, with the
objective of guiding students in understanding career opportunities, industry expectations,

and professional growth paths in the field of technology. The event created an interactive
platform for students to gain real-world insights from an accomplished alumnus. The
session was delivered by Mr. Devendiran M, an alumnus of the 2021–2025 batch, who is

currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at HCL Technologies, Chennai. He shared his
personal career journey, experiences during campus life, transition into the corporate world,
and the skills required to succeed in the IT industry. His talk emphasized the importance of

strong fundamentals, continuous learning, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to
emerging technologies. During the interaction, Mr. Devendiran provided valuable advice on
career planning, internships, skill development, and preparing for placements. Students

actively participated in the discussion, seeking guidance on higher studies, certifications,
and industry roles. The alumni talk was highly motivating and informative, inspiring students
to plan their career paths with clarity and confidence while strengthening the bond between

alumni and the institution.
